S1E10: Mike And Chance Show #TBT

Exactly one year ago today, Chance Davis and I launched a new podcast: "The Mike and Chance Show." There was but one episode ever recorded, and as an anniversary tribute to something I created with my best friend, I decided to play it out for you all again here.

Exactly one year ago today, Chance Davis and I launched a new podcast: "The Mike and Chance Show." There was but one episode ever recorded, and as an anniversary tribute to something I created with my best friend, I decided to play it out for you all again here.

"The Mike and Chance Show" aimed to be the podcast for an otherwise abandoned multimedia project I developed call "Urbane Circle." While "the U.C." didn't quite take off as I had imagined, "The Mike Silva Show" is very much what I had envisioned for "The Mike and Chance Show."

Circumstances prevailed that prevented further recordings of "The Mike and Chance Show," but there are definitely future plans to have Chance incorporated in "The Mike Silva Show."

In this episode, we discuss what the overall premise of the show (6:15), the way texting had affected dating (14:42), receiving pixelated "nudes" in the olden days (18:58), how the game has changed (26:40), what Facebook has become (29:42), "situationships" (35:30), the ramifications of the infamous "double tap" (37:37), thirst traps and click bait (40:35), and the different types of Instagram users (45:10).

As part of the usual Mike Silva Show layout with sports and pop culture, I also discuss the return of professional football to Los Angeles (47:30) and a hidden gem of a movie on Netflix (50:07).

Please listen and always enjoy.

Nah, I ain’t never had no itch.
— Chance Davis
